The afterschool program at Discovery Zone Learning Center is designed for children from grades K through fifth, and is fun, low-key, and neighborhood-like. Our program is open from September through the last day of school in June. Children are offered healthy snacks and time to complete their homework.  Children can make choices about their day, including arts and crafts, games, sports, outdoor play and reading.

The staff at Discovery Zone Learning Center respects the power of play and fosters the development of children through a carefully planned, flexible program. Our program is open no-school days, early release days, and snow days.
 
Vacation Programs:
During school vacations & no-school days  Discovery Zone Learning Center plans various field trips in and around the local area. Activities vary and may include trips to local parks, museums, and places of interest that make Connecticut so exciting.  Children participating in the Vacation Programs must be enrolled in the After School Program. There is an extra fee for this service.
